Technology Overview
Successfully compatabilizing biomass from a wide variety of natural fibers, mineral fillers and glass fibre with PP, PE and PA6 based polymer matrices is what creates the desired customized properties. In come cases for e.g. the choice of natural fiber determines the impact strength needed as opposed to flexural modulus or the tensile elongation at yield as opposed to un-notched Izod Impact, etc. The characterization of a variety of biomasses is key to determining which biomass may be suitable for a given application. |
